ASPIRE INCUBATOR CEO EXCELLENCE AWARD AND PATHWAY 🏆

At the conclusion of each nine-month Aspire Incubator cohort, we will present the prestigious CEO Excellence Award, designed to recognize and reward exceptional leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurial performance. This award provides a pathway for the recipient to step into a CEO role in the next cohort, offering them a life-changing opportunity to grow as a leader.

About the Award

The CEO Excellence Award celebrates the top-performing student in each cohort, recognizing their ability to lead, innovate, and significantly contribute to their company’s success. This award is not only an acknowledgment of their achievements but also a chance to step into an advanced leadership role.

The opportunity to compete for the CEO Excellence Award will be introduced at the beginning of each cohort, encouraging students to prepare for the challenge. This preparation includes:

Minor Reading Materials:

Advanced leadership and business development resources.

Study Resources:

Tools and exercises to prepare for the responsibilities of a CEO role.

The CEO Pathway

The student who wins the CEO Excellence Award will have the opportunity to:

Take the Role of CEO in the Next Cohort:

During the next cohort, the award recipient will lead a new company as its CEO, working closely with the Aspire Incubator Leadership Team (AILT), which will provide mentorship and guidance.

Receive Double Equity:

The student CEO will hold 25% equity ownership in their new company.

The AILT will retain 25% equity to provide mentorship, strategic oversight, and management support.

The remaining 50% equity will be divided equally among the four team members, with each receiving 12.5% equity.

Lead as CEO:

The award recipient will take full responsibility for their company’s direction, strategy, and success, while collaborating with their team and mentors.

Structure of the Cohort with a Student CEO

Each cohort will continue to consist of six companies with 24 total students, but one company will follow a unique equity structure to accommodate the student CEO:

• Five Companies: Each with four students, holding 12.5% equity each, and the AILT retaining 50% equity as the mentoring and management team.

• CEO-Led Company:

• CEO (Award Recipient): 25% equity

• AILT (Mentor Team): 25% equity

• Four Team Members: 12.5% equity each

This structure allows the CEO-led company to function with clear leadership while maintaining collaborative teamwork.

How the Award is Determined

The CEO Excellence Award is awarded based on a comprehensive evaluation process, including:

• Performance Metrics: Assessment of the student’s measurable contributions to their team’s success, including leadership, innovation, and revenue growth.

• Mentor and Peer Feedback: Insights from the AILT and teammates about the student’s ability to collaborate, solve problems, and inspire their team.

• Additional Preparation Work: Completion of the reading and study resources provided throughout the cohort.

• Final Presentation: Evaluation of the student’s performance during the graduation banquet, including their ability to articulate their company’s results and personal growth.

This rigorous selection process ensures that the award goes to the most deserving student who is ready to take on the responsibilities of a CEO role
